PUSH 22 Recipient of Three 2010 IABC Detroit Renaissance Awards
Awards received in each of three divisions: Communications Creative, Skills and Management
PONTIAC, Mich. – July 1, 2010 – PUSH 22, a full-service marketing agency, and its client Faurecia, were the recipients of three 2010 International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Detroit Renaissance Awards of Merit (silver) at the annual awards ceremony held Thursday night, June 24, 2010, in Troy, Michigan. The agency was recognized in each of the three award divisions: Communications Creative, Skills and Management.
The IABC Detroit’s Renaissance Awards honor excellence in business communication designed to promote the image, marketing or programs of a specific organization. Three award level categories are offered though not all are awarded: Excellence (gold), Merit (silver) and Honor (bronze). Entries were judged by IABC chapters in Chicago, Hawaii, Sacramento and St. Louis.
Outgoing IABC Detroit President Nancy Sarpolis, General Motors, stated, “It is truly an honor to receive a Renaissance Award. This program defines an achievement that many professionals in the communications industry consider a symbol of excellence as it provides unbiased credibility to their accomplishments.”
PUSH 22 and Faurecia received their first 2010 Renaissance Award of Merit in the Communications Creative division, newsletter category for PUSH 22’s design work on the Faurecia North America newsletter, Faurecia Infos, that it produces every other month. This is the second year in a row that PUSH 22 and Faurecia have received this award. The Communications Creative division showcases “how overall design and visual elements perform communicative functions. Entrants must demonstrate innovation, creativity, strategic alignment with an organization’s business goals and effective visual communication.”
Faurecia Infos newsletter also received the Award of Merit in the Communications Skills division, newsletter category that “showcase technical skills such as editing, writing and design. In addition to overall excellence, entrants must demonstrate creativity, measurable results and strategic alignment with their organization’s business goals.
The third award, in the Communications Management division, multi audience category, was received for PUSH 22’s creative design contribution on Faurecia’s “Clean” Campaign. First introduced in December, 2009 at the 2009 L.A. Design show, PUSH 22 graphically developed the Clean “brand” and designed all brand graphics and marketing for this new Faurecia concept from logo through to website, including show space graphics and signage, static and animated web ads, Eblasts, press releases and kits, event invitations, custom designed and produced handouts, all in an abbreviated timeframe of approximately six weeks. PUSH 22 and Faurecia share this award with locally based Airfoil and CSG, which handled writing/PR and booth production, respectively.
